On April 10th, Nielson School hosted Nielson Family Reading Night.  The event was extremely successful.  Everyone in attendance had a great time with the many activities and book readings.  A special thanks goes out to the Nielson Family Reading Night Committee and volunteers for their hard work in making it an enjoyable and educational time.  We also appreciate the time given by Mrs. VanHootegem, Mr. Shelly and Mr. LeClere to be our featured readers for the evening.

In September students and staff from Nielson Elementary School got the opportunity to take a field trip to the annual Stearman fly in.  Select staff members took flight with the Stearman for a brief view of Galesburg.
